當年覺得《不能說的秘密》已經是很成功的台灣商業電影，《給我一首琴的時間》更證明當時周杰倫的創意真的超乎群人。這部改編電影不只是照本宣科，大致上的架構並未不同，但無倫是情節的細節上或是人物設定的更動上，還是有原創性的巧思。 《給我一首琴的時間》最關鍵的更動，是男主角宥俊的個性變的更含蓄、更敏感，也使得整部電影有著更多層次的情緒轉折，宥俊被添加了因為壓力而罹患重病，變的懼怕鋼琴的設定，使得男主角更有成長的變化，他隨著與女主角貞雅的相遇而逐漸重新喜歡上鋼琴。另外，《給我一首琴的時間》還藉由蕭邦的故事，來加強愛情的意象，蕭邦因為愛妻而有了許多創作的動力，顯現卓越的創作者需要的不只是天賦，而是在日常也必須存在著熱愛的人，情感更是創作重要的推力，象徵了宥俊與貞雅兩個人之間的情感影響。 近幾年台灣一直在找尋什麼是成功的商業電影，當時周杰倫自編自導的《不能說的秘密》我覺得已經是很明顯的答案，之後再看《你的名字》還有新海誠其他講述時空隔閡的電影，都更會讚嘆《不能說的秘密》的巧思，而韓國翻拍的《給我一首琴的時間》，更證明這部電影的題材經過時間的沉澱灌溉，還是能長出屬於這個時代的感動，或許這也是為什麼《星際效應》時隔十年後重新上映，還是能擄獲許多人的心。後來的《那些年我們一起追的女孩》也創造壯觀的現象，同樣也被許多國家多次翻拍，周杰倫與九把刀剛好在我人生形成一個很重要的記憶，或許我們台灣電影產業，就是需要更多像周杰倫與九把刀這種能拍出億萬票房的商業導演。

《給我一首琴的時間》改編自周杰倫自編自導自演的經典國片《不能說的·秘密》，韓版片名靈感也是來自周杰倫的歌曲〈給我一首歌的時間〉。《不能說的·秘密》片中小雨和葉湘倫穿越了相差二十年的時空，今年上映的《給我一首琴的時間》則與原版相隔近二十年後登上大銀幕，彷彿是為了紀念片中這對戀人可歌可泣的戀曲。無論是原版或是韓版，電影同樣都以鋼琴詩人蕭邦與作家喬治桑的愛情故事為基礎，在課堂上談到他們共度十年的愛情生活，而兩部作品同樣給予了同等的浪漫結局，不過相較於原版較為陰暗（有霸凌情結）的過程，《給我一首琴的時間》顯得更加明亮幸福一些。 《給我一首琴的時間》保留了原作的精髓，大方向不變僅在劇情上做前後挪動，讓角色的行為動機更加合理化。像是：原作中最經典的鬥琴大賽，韓版則是讓女主角先在琴房找尋亞瑟賓得的琴譜，因而成了男主角參賽的動機，而鬥琴大賽的贏家便能夠獲得這份琴譜，他想藉此當作定情物送給女主角。有意思的是，原版鬥琴大賽中找來了很有周杰倫風格的主持人進行串場，而韓版中則安排讓兩人進行最純粹的鋼琴決鬥，同時也讓男主角更有重回鋼琴前的動力。 劇本將原作中主角是高中生的設定改成了大學生，這是相當符合當代的改編。因此選角上更傾向捕捉大學生的氣質。飾演男主角金宥俊的都敬秀，他已在《搖擺男孩》成功抓住我的眼球，這次則扮演因傷歸國的音樂系大學生，因此與元真兒飾演的柳貞雅在琴房相遇。兩人的感情線鋪排上，原作強調校園生活中的曖昧氛圍，而韓版則強調那「一見鐘情」的戀愛感，也更能夠呼應「回到過去」儀式中的關鍵要素，也就是第一眼見到的人才能夠看到她。特別讚賞元真兒的演出，別於原版桂綸鎂中帶了點調皮、愛捉弄主角的特質，元真兒版本的女主角則有著清新脫俗的可愛氣息。此外，原版中黃秋生飾演的父親較為嚴肅，偶有跳舞彈琴的活潑時刻，到了韓版則由裴晟佑特別客串演出主角的教授父親勝浩，這個角色則是幽默開明許多帶來了不少的笑料，還要兒子撒個嬌來看看，而侑俊的父母雖然離婚，但父親仍愛著前妻，可惜當時「我錯過時機了。」父親的「懊悔」也成了推動男主角去追愛的引子。
Read more2007年上映，周杰倫原創故事兼自導自演的電影《不能說的．秘密》，是台灣難得可以逆襲日韓的優秀作品，某程度也可說是「台灣感性」（대만감성）的始祖之一。多虧我們杰倫哥，至今仍能在電影主要取景地的淡水，看見許多年輕的韓國女孩子來朝聖。 光是這點就要給大大的一個讚了。也正因《不能說的．秘密》的影響力，近來日本與韓國都分別推出了改編電影。日版的《不能說的秘密》年初在台灣上映，而韓版則即將在白色情人節接力登場，台灣片名改成向原作者致敬之餘，亦巧妙地吻合劇情的《給我一首琴的時間》。 首先不管是日版還是韓版，故事背景都將原版的高中改為大學，這或許是考量到選角的自由度；再加上原版畢竟是將近20年前的作品（但片中故事發生時間為1999年），所以日、韓版也將故事時間改為現代，連帶女主角所處時代也跟著往後挪，形成原版「現代」變成改編版「過去」這樣有趣的現象。
