In the director’s chair is none other than the internationally revered mad genius Takashi Miike. The film’s protagonist Akira Ninomiya, a lawyer and crazed psychopath who will even commit murder to serve his twisted purposes, is played by Kazuya Kamenashi. He is joined by Nanaho as the little understood but doggedly determined Tokyo Metropolitan Police profiler Ranko Toshiro; Riho Yoshioka as Emi Hasumi, Ninomiya’s fiancée who knows nothing of his true nature; Shota Sometani as Kuro Sugitani, a psychopathic doctor and ally of Ninomiya; and Shido Nakamura as Takeshi Kenmochi, a former murder suspect.

A series of murders occurs in which victims are attacked with an axe and have their brains taken away. The perpetrator is a monstrous figure who wears the same mask as the protagonist of the picture book “Lumberjack the Monster.” Lawyer Akira Ninomiya becomes the latest to be targeted, but he is in fact a cunning psychopath, cold-blooded and heartless enough to match the monster blow for blow!

The police investigation of the serial killings becomes increasingly complicated as various other individuals are drawn into it, such as brilliant Tokyo MPD profiler Toshiro, Ninomiya’s fiancée Emi, his psychopathic doctor ally Sugitani, and former murder suspect Kenmochi. Why is the killer stealing brains? And why do they want Ninomiya dead? These mysteries must be unraveled, and the killer must be unmasked, or more people will die... While Ninomiya unexpectedly finds himself fighting for his life, he waits for his chance to strike back. Hunt, or be hunted... Will only the craziest survive?!
